I understand that in order to have WSUS uninstall an update it installed you
need to look at the details of the update to see if it supports uninstalling.
What concerns me is that I looked at every 2000 update downloaded on the
server and not one of them says it supports uninstalling (in fact every
update downloaded says it doesn't support uninstalling). So, if I installed
an update I later realize is causing an issue I cannot uninstall it via WSUS.
I would have to remove it locally at every computer it was installed at. Is
this correct? Is something not working correctly with the updates in WSUS?

Hey Matt,

I understand your concern but if the patch does not support
uninstall....that is not specific to WSUS. If the patch does not support
uninstall then it would not support uninstall locally either. It is a
function of how the patch is packaged and doesn't really have anything to do
with WSUS.

There is something that is wrong here.

Problem is that almost all security updates listed in WSUS is marked
as not removable, but in reality, most of them supports uninstall
locally...
