Default RRAS Service starts, then quickly stops

Hello-I am having a problem with my WIN2K Server,SP4-
Server, which I have configured as a VPN server. Things
were fine until 7/9/03 when I came in to find the Routing
and Remote Access service stopped. I am unable to restart
the service. I attempt to restart and the service looks
like it will run, but then stopps suddenly. Any help would
be great.

Sure,The event log (system) indicates the following two
events.
"Event ID 7024 The routing and remote access service
terminated with service specific error 930"

"Event ID 20153 The currently configured accounting
provider failed to load and initialize successfully. The
suthentication server did not respond to authorization
requests in a timely fashion."

930 = The authentication server did not respond to authentication requests
in a timely fashion.

Looks like the accounting provider failed to load. Are you using RADIUS
accounting and authentication.

If so, go to the Properties of RRAS, select Security tab, click on Configure
and make sure the radius server information provided is correct.

We are not using RADIUS, we are using Windows
Authentication and Windows Accounting.

What's NetDIAG say for the station and DCDiag for the
DCs in the site?

It might be a DNS problem if you have authentication set
to Windows -- not that DNS is a culprit, just that most
AD stuff depends on it and it is so easy to screw up....

DCs registered in DNS -- Clients using the internal DNS,
etc.
