Does the failing box have multiple nic's? Are there any errors in the event
log?

Hi there,
we got kind of a cluster system with 2 Win2003 Server machines. DNS
running on both machines.
Each device is pointing to the other one as DNS server.
But today we had a problem that Win1 wasnīt able to resolve any DNS
entries using nslookup. Even when i pointed the DNS server entry to
the Win1 machine itself it was not possible to resolve any entry.
After reboot of the machine it worked fine for a while, now i got the
same problem again.
No nslookup possible, but i am able to resolve the entries with ping
command.
I checked that all entries are in DNS forward and even reverse-lookup
zones of both machines.
Telnet on port 53 is working (i know, as DNS is UDP not really
helpful)
Other machines like the Win2 can use the Win1 as DNS server, Win1
itself canīt
Any hints or help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Frett
