DNS works not with subnets. It handle zones. So you have to add a new reverse lookup zone with that ip range. In news:81B3F23F-9328-4CD9-9CE9-781CD85B5C74@microsoft.com, You can create the Reverse lookup Zone using the wizard for the Subnet ID just fine, and it will work. But it will only resolve the PTRs you create, if there is a DNS server already setup and resolving that subnet, you might consider using a Delegation, Conditional Forwarding, or a Stub zone. Delegations can be difficult to setup, so you may prefer the other options. If you use a Conditional Forwarder or Stub, add the Domain as the Fully Qualified name of the zone, example 168.192.in-addr.arpa. -- Best regards, Kevin D.
