I've been trying to get some sort of upgrade from my
Windows 2000 Professional SP1 to where I can achieve better software compatibility (Neverwinter Nights, Adobe Acrobat, etc which all require at least SP2) I installed SP2, and I got the STOP: inaccessable boot device error, and same with SP3 but after downloading and installing SP4 I was able to start up, although my computer would restart in the middle of a game, upon restarting by itself for the second time, I got the STOP error again and was forced to remove SP4 I exchanged my previous cpu (Athlon XP2400+) for another because the first one had heat related issues I'm currently using another Athlon XP2400+, FIC AU13 motherboard with 512mb of DDR266 If anyone knows what I can do to fix this, or what could be a probably cause please let me know zane_andre@hotmail.com thanks, -Zane |
