Default sp4 uninstalled, now won't boot

Ok, I went to the prompt and typed in what I had seen on
the other posts (C:\WNNT\$NtServicepack....), said it was
not recognizable... so, using Win explorer, I found the
file, acutally there were 2. One was an exe, the other a
dos batch file. I ran the exe first. It ran an uninstall
wizard, "restored catalogues" but then got stuck on
something like "other pre-uninstall tasks" - eventually I
closed the program (but it wasn't responding anyway).....
I was a concerned bacause even though it had not
uninstalled, it had emptied the catalogue files. But, I
ran the uninstall again, this time from the DOS batch file.

It seemed to have worked my system seemed ok, but when I
rebooted to complete the process, I couldn't. The Welcome
screen (Starting Windows)comes up, then the screen goes
black. Then the Welcome Screen comes up again, then
blacks out again, and the computer tries to restart
itself. (Over and over if I let it.)

I tried safe mode, tried "last known good configuration"
and tried repairing w/ my 2k setup disk -- nothing seems
to work. Any help would be much appreciated.
