I want to download and install spybot search @ destroy
software on my computer. My question is does anybody
have experience with this software, will this program
conflict with my mcafee antivirus or any other program

It's a pretty good program and i've neither seen or heard of it conflicting
with antivirus programs.

However, if you also use adaware there is an issue you need to be aware of:

Spybot takes backup copies of all files and registry entries you instruct it
to remove, "Just in case". If you use this feature to remove some spyware
then use adaware to scan your computer it will find the spyware in the
backup folder in the spybot program folder and alarm on it - this doesn't
mean spybot itself has spyware in it.
