SQL Server License

We are running a SQL 2000 Server with 25 CALs.

There is an application making more than 1 connection (Say
3 connections) from a workstation to the SQL Server.

I would like to know how many CAL License is used for that
particular workstation ? 1 or 3 ?

according to the SQL reskit "One CAL is required for each device that will
be accessing the server software"
therefore I believe 1 is the answer.
