Toshiba e740 connect to Panasonic GD87 via IR

I have a e740 and GPRS enabled Panasonic GD87 mobile phone. I tried to set
up an InfraRed(IR) connection to browse the internet on the e740 without
success.
Does anyone know how to link these two devices with IR and use GD87's GPRS
to browse the internet?
