Default Upgrade SQL 2000 Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition

David,

I have also not seen any articles on that. But I have done a couple of
upgrades from SE to EE and they went fine.To be on the safer side always
take backups of user as well as system databases.

Does it require a reboot? I saw a post out here where a
person lost their perfmon counters for sql server. You
ever have that happen?

David,

No.Not with this upgrade, but I have troubleshooted missing perfmon
counters.Make sure that you stop all nonsetup-related services before
proceeding with the setup. If the counters doesnt get loaded, setup would
write some hints to sqlstp.log as to why it didnt.
