Default Verizon DSL

I use Verizon DSL with Win98 SE. They supply an external modem. It works
fine but I'd prefer an internal modem to avoid the extra clutter. I
tried one made by Lucent but bought it through a clearing house and it
doesn't include do***entation (so guess what I can't get it to work). (The
amazing thing about Verizon DSL is that there's nothing to install or
configure. Just plug everything in and it's working, even though it took a
few extra weeks to wait for the service to start).

Has anybody used an internal modem with the Verizon DSL service? If so,
what brand modem are you using?

Many thanks in advance.
Brian

Bryan,
Are you connecting your WIN98 machine through a Router or
are you plugging the CAT 5 line directly into the modem
from your NIC in your computer?
What version of Internet Explorer are you using?
