Default Vista MMC Task Scheduler not in Group Policy

Task Scheduler is missing from the Restricted/Permitted snap-in list in group
policy.
Policy group is located at : User Config-Admin templates - System- windows
components - MMC-Restricted/Permitted snap-ins

If you use "Restrict users to the ********y permitted list of snap-ins" the
task scheduler becomes restricted, with no policy to enable Task Scheduler.

I have seen many talk about this, but could not find if there is a fix for it.

We had to create a custom policy, like many before this, to allow the
specific CLSID to run on the clients.

Our workaround is OK, but Microsoft will need to add it to the proper
snap-in selection list.

Any one else run into this?
Any feedback welcomed.

Default Vista MMC Task Scheduler not in Group Policy

In follow up,

I opened a web incident with Microsoft. They now understand the problem. Of
course, they will communicate it to the GP and Vista teams. They agree that
my custom adm workaround is the only option at this time.

For your reference, here is a sample adm file using the clsid for the
plug-ins to create a custom adm template that you can import to your gp. It
includes a few others. Enjoy.
