Default Web log import skips few GET requests while importing

Hi,

We are using Commerce Server Business ****ytics to import some non CS logs.
These log files are generated for an internet site and for registered users,
the cs-username field is set as the Username. When we are importing log
files into the datawarehouse, for some users, Commerce server skips their
requests. So if the log file shows about 48 requests for a certain type of
file, CS shows around 28 (which can lead to a huge difference). I tried
importing it by trying different settings in the web log import DTS task,
but no success. I am not sure but I think its skipping requests which dont
have cs-referer set. Again, this is just based on some of the log files and
users I checked and may not be right. Btw all the requests are GET requests
to the files.

Do you think there could be any reason why CS should skip it? If you need, I
can send a days worth of log files to you.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Navin

Take a look at hits in the log, and see if they might be filtered because
of one of the configuration settings. Typical filtering occurs on the http
status (eg some code other than 200) or an excluded referring host.
