Default What i need to send email?

Hi, i have installed CRM 1.2 and i have installed CRM Email Router in
the Exchange Server machine but when i try to send and email from crm
it shows me "unexpected error.Look up your system administrator".
I have watch the event log and i have seen warnings about this
theme,they talk about access denied.

Do i need to create a queue if i only want to send, not to receive?
Do i need create an user in the domain only for crm mail?

Thanks.

no you do not need a queue. you should be able to send email.
what events are you seeing? Also on the crm web server check the registry
setting that points to the exchange server as it may be incorrect.

I am having the same problem. What should the registry entry look like?
Where in the registry would I find this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok - I figured it out.

1. Make sure that email services are installed on the CRM server (add remove
windows componants)
2. Then install the email router on exchange. I think the order in which you
do this is important so if you have to, uninstall the router then reinstall.
3. Make SURE that during the router installation, the installation directory
is the directory of your CRM installation on the IIS server. (this is the 2nd
or third form in the wizard) For me, my CRM is the "Default" directory.

You should be good to go.

Do I need install email services in the crm server? because I have in
other machine the exchange server, then if I configure for example the
Microsoft Outlook using the exchange in the crm server machine as
administrator user in order to be able to send email from that
machine, ¿is it correct?

Thanks.
