Default where can I get the Directory Service Client Pack ?

We're upgrading to Server2003 and we have one machine still on Windows95
(sigh)
This cannot logon to the 2003 AD. According to Microsoft, we need to either
upgrade the 95
machine or install the "Directory Service Client Pack"

I cannot find this Directory Service Client Pack anywhere for download !

Anybody know where this is available ?

Thanks,

chrism

Hi Chrism,

Thanks for your posting here.

The DSCLIENT.exe file is only included on the \CLIENTS\WIN9X folder on
Windows 2000 server CD. The Active Directory Client Extensions for NT
Workstation 4.0 can be download from the following web site.

http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/Other/adclient.asp

In addition, there is a update version that is included the hot fix of
323455. It is a Directory Services Client Update for Windows 98. You need
to contact Microsoft Product Support Services directly for the hotfix.

To obtain the telephone numbers for specific technology, please review this
web site:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=sz;en-us;top

If you are outside the US, you can find regional telephone support numbers
at http://support.microsoft.com.

Please be advised that contacting telephone support *will* be a charged
call. However, if you are simply requesting a hotfix, then charges are
usually refunded or waived.

Wish it helps.

Regards,
Bob Qin

Just fyi - we didn't have to disable smb signing for our lone 95 box to
logon after the DS Client was installed. Getting back to the original
poster, sadly MS doesn't have a distro for 95 clients on the 2003 server, so
you will have to call MS PSS and pay 250 for the client (which they should
reimburse) or find a 2000 server CD and just insatll it off that bad-boy.

Why don't they include it on Server 2003 disk? We'll never know.
