Will Vista keep all original files?
Hello,
I am thinking of installing Windows Vista, btu not sure whether it would keep all the original files I had on my laptop (non-system files such as My documents and so on). Does anyone have any idea on that? Thanks! |

Will Vista keep all original files?
It should. But as with any major modification to your computer (and
installing an upgrade of the OS is a major modification) you should always make sure you have a good and current backup just in case things go bad. Add to that the fact that this is a beta release, not production quality, and that just increases the need to be cautious. -- Tom Porterfield |

Will Vista keep all original files?
You do an upgrade from XP, it will retain your existing documents and
