I have repeatedly attempted to reinstall Win98se. It gets through 31% of
copying windows files and tells me that I interrupted progress. I have not
done anything in any of my atttempts but to allow the installation to run.
The error message tells me that I can ok, cancel, or skip. Telling it to
skip will just bring up the message again and again without any progress
beyond 31% complete. This computer is a Gateway 600mhz Pentium3. I am
hoping that someone knows what is happening and respond with a solution.

Try reinstalling it from DOS per the directions here and be sure to disable
the anti virus protection in the BIOS if any:
