We (I) am working on some USB driver developement from a
Windows 98 platform (since NT does not support USB and we
have not been able to upgrade yet). Is there a version of
WinDbg for Win98? Where can I get it?
I was out at MS website, nothing there, and some of the
other posts aren't clear on the existance of a Win98 based
debugger.

Umm, well, when you say "usable" do you mean the Win9X debugger
doesn't do well? IIRC, I did debug our NDIS Miniport on W98 years ago
using... WDEB386... or was it WDEB98?

No.

MS's debuggers - WDEB386 and some other one, both are puny IIRC - or
SoftICE only.

WOW, you have a high tolerance for pain!

Even when I worked for a competitor of NuMega and wasn't allowed to use
SoftIce, I used SoftIce on 9x. That WDEB(whatever) was hugely painful to
setup and use as I remember.

Let me put it this way. I'd rather use EDLIN as my program editor than
WDEB386 for driver debugging.
