I can't help, but want to let you know that I'm having the exact same
problem. We're running WSUS under the default website on Windows Server 2003
with SQL Server 2000. I have tried everything! In the server logs, I'm
getting 200s on everything except the /clientwebservice/client.asmx. I'll
get a 200 immediately followed by a 500 error. Getting the exact same error
as you in the console...
