Default Exch MP Configruation Wizard

Hey everyone,

We are running MOM2005 on Windows 2003 /sp1 in a Windows 2003 domain. We
are aslo running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 servers. I have three "Front
End" servers in the DMZ that I would like MOM to monitor. I have opened
port 1270 TCP/UDP and did a manul agent install. That all worked just fine.

Now when I run the "Exchange Management Pack Configuration Wizard" and
select all the servers that I would like to configure I get an error saying
that it could not contact the "Front-End" servers. Below is the error that
I got:

"The following servers were automatically excluded from the selection
because it was not possible to contact their Service Control Manager to
obtain a list of installed services. Servers: servername1, servername2,
servername3, servername4."

Anyone have any ideas?

Thnaks for any and all help.

Uncheck the box at the bottom of the 3rd page "Verify connectivity to all
selected servers."
Set the configuration that you desire.
Save the configuration to an XML file when you get to the end of the wizard.
Copy the configuration to the frontend server.
Install the config wizard on the frontend server.
Run the config wizard from the command-line on the front-end server passing
the config file from above.

You will get an error about not being able to create/permission the mailbox
access, but that is to be expected.

If you need more info about the command line version of the wizard see the
Exchange MP Guide.
