GPRS Modem
Phil,
Are you initiating your connection from your laptop via DUN or
automatically dialup if there is no connection found?
A good guide is provided at Geekzone (however this for Widcomm based
units,but is similar enough)
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2642
I know I have had no problems using the Bluesoleil software often shipped
with Bluetake products. I found that pairing the devices works best first
then allow your computer to negotiate the connection, with the dial-up
phone number usually *99# with no user name and password, this may vary
from carrier to carrier. Once you have this setup connecting each time
aftward should be fairly easy.
Also check to see if your SPV is listed as a Bluetooth modem under modems
in control panel.
Another thing to detect is what COM port your modem is using and is not
conflicting with Activesync. Some people have reported that they have to
shut off Activesync in order to connect via DUN.
Hope this helps
