Default SMS business cards get ignored

I have an XDAIIi, if someone sends me an sms business card (from a Nokia)
nothing happens, it's almost as though the phone ignores it yet the same
person can send me a regular sms and it pops straight up. What' going on?

The Nokia business card thing is an optional extension to SMS, which other
companies took up as well. There are other extensions to SMS like black and
white pictures. Microsoft decided only to build in support for basic text
SMS and didn't include any of the extensions. Maybe this will be included
in some future version of Windows Mobile, but there won't be a fix for the
existing ones. In theory there be a third party program to send them from
Phone Edition Pocket PCs, but so far as I know it doesn't exist, and that
wouldn't fix the receiving problem.

I would not hold my breath. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a
policy of fixing anything fast.

I can not see any official firmware upgrades from O2 in my region
(AsiaPacific) at all. I have been using pocketpc's for years from
different manufacturers and I have never seen a worse performance in
software updates. Seems they are more focussed on shipping new stuff as
quick as possible and ignoring existing clients. Not a good long-term
strategy.
