Default WiFi sync OK...now a tweak

Hello. I read a bunch of posts here and ms.public.pocketpc about folks
getting ActiveSync to work through their wireless network at home (using an
iPAQ 3715). I got this to work at my house in just a couple of minutes
(thanks to all the posters!), but have one "usability" question:

I notice in order to ActiveSync over my WiFi network, I have to change the
"My Network Card connects to" setting to "Work" rather than "The Internet"
(this is different from "My Work Network" and "My ISP" somewhere else on the
PPC...confusing). Once I change the network card's dropdown to "Work",
ActiveSync works over WiFi...but I can't surf the net in PIE. If I change
that dropdown back to "The Internet", I can surf, but not Sync.

Is there an easier way to have both these things co-exist (ActiveSync over
Wifi AND surf the net over Wifi) without having to tweak each time? Thanks.

Yes.
Go to the screen where you select work or the Internet.
Select Work, then tap on the button below that allows one to edit this
selection.
Select the tab with Proxy Settings on it, and check only the first option,
this network connects to the internet. tap ok, make sure the first two
selections are on work, then continue to tap "OK" or X until you return to
the today screen. (Important you must go back to the today screen or the
settings will not be saved)

Excellent! I can now sync via Wifi and surf the web without having to
manually tweak. Thanks for the tip!
