Default Convert from Medica Center to Zen (or any lower WMV format) Video skips.

This is a strange problem that is happening on my theater computer running
Vista ultimate and Media Center.

When I transfer a Video from Media Center, either via WMP11, Media Center,
or even Movie Maker to my Zen or a WMV profile my Zen supports, the Video
skips every couple of secs.

At first I thought my Zen was crazy or the bitrate was off, but that was not
the case, as playing the file on the PC iteself showed the same choppy video
and skipping.

Any suggestions on this or where to look. I am using only the built in Zen
Drivers with Vista, etc etc. I also even tried telling WMP11 to use a lower
bitrate for the video, which it did, but the video stll was skipping and
choppy even when played back directly in WMP11.

The other strange thing is that this seems to be only with Media Center
recorded content (not copy protected), since I have converted several family
movies and even higher resolution WMV files using WMP11, and they are
flawless.

PS For the MS guys, is there any rule of thumb for processor when it comes
to speeding up WMV encoding? Do things ike SSE2 or SSE3 come into play to
help the performance, etc...?

Thanks in Advance,
