Default ConnectComputer fails

Here is my setup:
WWW - DSL Modem/Router (DHCP enabled) - SBS2003 (dual homed) - switch -
ClientPC(Win2000)
Note: The DSL Modem/Router is DHCP enabled because it serves other workgroup
clients (until I get the SBS2003 working).

So here is my problem: I can create profiles and computers on the SBS2003,
but then when I go to the ClientPC and attempt to attach the ClientPC to the
SBS2003 network, the ConnectComputer command fails because the server cannot
be found. I am stumped. I have tried ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew at
the ClientPC but the SBS2003 DHCP does not provide and IP address. When I
attempt to start the LOGON service at the ClientPC, it fails because it is
only required in a domain based network. It seems I have a catch22
situation.
Can anyone help this desperate chap? Thanks in advance.

In article <#Pwv745bFHA.2960@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl>, jmmach@NOSPAMgto.net
says...

They won't see the SBS server until DHCP is enabled on it - hence your
catch-22. Bite the bullet, turn off DHCP on the router, re-enable it on
SBS, the clients will be able to join the domain...
