I am trying to re-install the intranet part from the Add Remove SBS. I was
able to remove, it did give an error but seemed to remove. Now when I go
into it and change to the maintenance, the intranet option doesn't show as
installed. I change it to install and then it goes hrough some stuff and
spits back the error below. It never does ask for a CD.

I've used that kb829114 more than a few times and others will agree that it
works the way it describes. A lot of people have posted the same issues as
you saying they have used and followed that article to no avail. However
when suggested they do it again and make sure they follow each step by step
and check off each step as they go along they always have success. So the
key is to do it again. I know you "think" you followed it step by step but
you may be surprised. Make sure you apy attention to the part where you need
to delete the companyweb internet site as well as deleting the application
pools section. Another important step is the registry editing portion. good
luck and you can do any harm doing it over.

I followed the directions, then double checked them. The directions really
aren't that difficult. They are not working for me though. I still have
problems getting the intranet component installed from the add/remove SBS
program. Again, I can post the content of the log files if it will provide
further insights.

Do you have an older SBS 2003 CD3? If so, after 829114, reboot the server
and then apply the update below. (This info is contained in 829114).

No, I have the SBS 2003 w/ SP1 CDs. I did do a double check and verified
according to the directions in the KB that I do indeed have the CDS with SP1
applied.

I was the one having the issues, not Allen. Still trying to figure out how
to fix the issue.

I think Merv's last post regarding applying the fix is what you need to try
next. It does specifically refer to your error message regarding
reinstalling the Intranet Component and what you need to do if you receive
that error. Also seeing how I think you have done the reinstall a few times
already look in IIS and see if there are more than 1 companyweb sites
listed. they may be named soomething like companyweb1 or comapnyweb2. You
should delete all of those also.
