I have recently installed a windows 2003 member server w/SMS sp 2.0 w/ SP 5.
The sms_executive server refuses to install using a domain account we've
setup to use. Says a logon failure, I went as far to reset the entire
setup to reset the ID using SMS install knowing I knew what the password
was.

Did you perform an upgrade from SMS 2.0 to SMS 2003? If so, did you specify
an account that was different from the account used by SMS 2.0? I assume
you specified standard security during the setup, correct?

I ran a reset installation from the SMS 2.0 w/sp 5, this solved the issue.
