Default Random No generation rowwise

Hi,
I am facing a problem in writing a query in SQL2000, my query is very
simple.
I wanted to have a random numbers against of every row in a table. So that
whenever I will execute a query I should get different result in every row
in that randomNumber column.

If you have any solution Please let me know.
TIA,
Kishor

Why exactly would you want to do that? If you want to be able to identify
rows by a unique identifier than use either identity (with a numeric code)
or a primary key on a column (if you want to use other values than just
numbers).
