When I click on a program to open it, the cursor does not
change to busy it just remains an arrow and then it takes
awhile for the program to come up. Because I don’t think
it is responding, I click it a few more times and then 3
or 4 of the same program open up. Is there any way to
have the cursor change to the hourglass to show that it is
searching for or opening the program.

Go to Control Panel>Mouse Icon Open and select the Pointers Tab. You
should see a Scheme box with
drop down arrow. Pick a scheme that has the hour glass in it and
click on Apply OK. If you don’t have
this option then you may have to go to www.microsoft.com/downloads
and get the latest Mouse software.
If you don’t have a MS mouse then you can go to the Manufacturers
website and download their software.
