I’ve run into a mysteious problem.
IE5 cannot connect to the internet, but surfing local pages on the LAN works
fine. Network settings (TCP/IP + DHCP) via WINIPCFG look allright. DNS is
working, but cant get past gateway.
Have tried reconfiguring the ip-address manually to other addresses – same
problem. Other computers on the network can connect to the Internet when
they receive the these ip-addresses (via DHCP) – so it should not be that
the ip-addres is blocked.
No proxy is used/needed. Default settings should work.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled network – with no luck!
I have reinstalled and upgraded from Office 2000 Professional to Office 2000
Pro SR1 (to a fresh IE5 I hope) – with no luck!
The computer is virusprotected by OfficeScan so it should not be a virus. It
did work before so it cant be the Firewall.
Any suggestions appreciated – I do not want to reinstall windows if I don’t
