I had Fedora installed on my test PC and starting the installation of
Windows Vista I got an error message, could not install Windows Vista.
Sorry, I forgot to write down the error number… 🙁

Oh, I tried to install Vista after I removed the Fedora installation (by
installing Windows XP). Now, I get the same error message:
Windows Setup: setup.exe – Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xe0000100)
occurred in the application at location 0x77e4028b.
I can click on
Windows – Install now” dialog.

Try reburning the download image again – sounds like what happens when it

Try reburning the ISO at a low speed, 2x and reattempt the installation.
