1) others with the same ISP don’t see the same page – although they might
see a different redirection and not a simple Error / Bad URL message page.
2) Now the original computer with this redirection no longer demonstrates
the behavior consistently. However, the 2nd computer to demonstrate it
This seems to suggest that it is an internal and not an external problem
although the evidence isn’t conclusive.
How / where to report this?

More information again:
Incorrect URLs ending in “.com” seem to result in a normal Error page.
Incorrect URLs ending in “.net” or “.org” are redirected as described.
Try this one:
www.centuryte.net which is a typo on centurytel…

It seems to have been fixed (at least here):
$ host errfkdfksdlfjkdsl
Host errfkdfksdlfjkdsl. not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
$ date -R -u
