Hi
I am using robocopy xp010 to sync a sbs 2003 server with a nas, but i am
getting this errors


2007/01/08 05:32:42 ERROR 6 (0x00000006) Copying File e:\pastas
partilhadas\Fiscalizacao\2005006\5 - PROJECTO DE
EXECU€ÇO\Estruturas\Execu‡Æo\old\473AE020500 6R00.dwg

on some files.

I really need to find out what this error means.

Another Question
Is there another version of Robocopy. I have searched the Internet and i
found a Version xp026 but i can not find where to download it.

Hi

I think it's part of "Windows XP Resource kit".
XP RK Tools don't seem to be available as a download - just Win 2003 RK Tools.
Buy the book ?

Derk Benisch has published a 'GUI' for Robocopy.
It's not great, but includes Robocopy.exe XP026.

Ignore the GUI thing, but

implies if you install it, then robocopy.exe XP026 sould be on your hard
disk somewhere !

PS
I actually couldn't find the new robocopy.exe by searching C:.

In our network, user profiles (ie My Documents, Application Settings etc.)
aren't stored on the local machine, but on another server.

I found the path by a bit of lateral thinking !
RoboCopy GUI : Menu : Help : Robocopy User Guide
Word : Menu : File : Save As
{path} already exists - do you want to overwrite ?

/COPYAT worked
/COPYATS didn't work
/COPYATSO didn't work
/COPYATSOU didn't work

With XP026 they all just work
.... when copying from one server to another in the same domain,
using a scheduled batch file.

I did give myself 'Log on as a service' privilege, but that doesn't seem to
be necessary.
I already had 'Manage Security & Auditing Logs' privilege, which someone
also suggested is necessary,
It's worth persevering to find Robocopy XP026. Maybe even worth buying the
Windows XP Resource Kit !
