How do i know if i have adware or spyware on my computer
that is slowing it down and how do i remove it?

try spybot search & destroy to locate any spyware and
adware.

parasite programs running through IE only. it's not
going to be as thorough as running a full system scan
using a good security/antivirus program or a spyware
removal program like spybot or ad aware, but it may help
you identify a problem, especially if you're not presently
using an antivirus program or spyware removal program.
plus, There's a wealth of information on many known
parasite programs and browser hijacking programs on this
website, and many of the listings even include removal
instructions.
