Default do***ents and settings



How can you make the do***ents and settings redirect to the D: drive. I have
windows 2003 server and the C drive has do***ents and settings on it. Any
ideas.

Strictly speaking, this can only be done during an unattended setup.
Check here for an unsupported way to do this on a live server.

I found a way to do this.

You have to register the hkey\local machine\software\microsoft\windows
nt\profilelist

Change the path and copy the folder all users to the new do***ents and
settings. Working great so far.

Yes, that's the unsupported method that is described in KB 236621.

Can only speak for Win 2K server but MS do a how to for this in technet and
it works but involves about 50 reg changes per logged on user, I did this
and then discovered that Roaming TS profiles actually acomplished what I was
trying to achieve in the first palce of limiting the Sys partion space
