Vista authentication / account locked issue

We just deployed a few HP laptops with Windows Vista, and we're experiencing
unusual behavior. The user logs into the network without a problem, but when
the open Outlook 2003 it presents them with the login dialogue because the
account has been locked out in active directory...

Anyone seen this?

Did you use your own exchange server or is it not on the domain?

It is our own exchange server, and it is in the domain.
