DFS File Issues

We have Windows 2000 and use DFS to use sharing on our files. All of the XLS
files from Excel will not open in Windows Explorer, they give an error of
"\\servername\" cannot be found. I double checked the DFS management on the
server and it seems to be fine there. If I open the file from within the
Excel File menu, it works fine. Any ideas?
