Default Help, PST file shareing on 2000 server

I need to share a .pst file which will be loaded into outlook for users that need it at work.

Right now i have the pst file on a share on a Windows 2000 server.
I maped a drive on each users workstation that points to that share. I then loaded the .pst file onto outlook for the users that i mentioned earlier. The problem is that only one user can access the file at a time. With .pst files, if another process is using it, it will not let anyone else access it.

In this situation I need the file to be centralized and accessed simultaneously by multiple users.

My first though was shadow copies, but that's only availible in 2003 server and XP.

any ideas?
