Default Problem with Netscape Browser

Recently my Netscape 4.79 Communicator browser stopped working. It only loads
partially when invoked and after a few minutes, Windows 2000 shuts it down
with
a message that netscape.exe is being closed and something is being posted to
an
error log. I have checked the Event Manager for all error messages and
nothing
appears linked to this problem. How can I view these error postings? I
thought
the problem was a windows update, but backing out the most recent changes did
not fix the problem. I also reloaded my Netscape software to no avail. Is
the
windows 2000 operating system finding a problem in Netscape, or is Netscape
creating a problem which windows 2000 can't handle. I am seeing some messages
about stack overflow, but they don't line up with the error occurences with
Netscape. I tried looking at Dr Dobbs dumps, but they were not revealing.
