I am trying to upgrade Windows 2000 active directory administrative
system template/domain policy - to allow enabling remote assistance which is being blocked by active directory policy or the absence of it in the original Windows 2000 admin template. I have followed the procedure in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q307900/ but can see no evidence that it has worked, and specifically I am looking for the Remote Assistance section to be available in Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Remote Assistance For a domain policy. I am doing this update from a fully patched XP SP2 machine but can see no evidence that it is working When I reopen the domain policy no new sections are apparent. There are no replication or other problems on the network as far as I can tell Servers are Win2k SP4 and all critical updates are applied. |

Not sure what you mean.
If you open your GPO's from a Windows XP machine it will read the templates from that machines inf-folder... You can always download the latest ones from MS download and make sure you are uptodate... -- Regards G Johansson fantomen@NOSPAM.GPfaq.se http://GPfaq.se |
