External Storage Device

I am trying to use an external CD burner with my computer
that has Windows 2000 Professional. I first get the
message that the system is searching for an appropriate
driver and then am asked to insert the Windows 2000
Professional CD-Rom. We no longer have this disk. Is
there a solution to this problem.

Download the appropriate device driver from the manufacturer's website.
Install it.
Make sure everything runs as it should.
Then plan what you're going to do when someday you REALLY need that CD.
