NO SOUND

No sound from external speakers with cd or mp3. When I reboot the system, I can hear the windows "chime," but nothing after that. Any suggestions.

right click on the little speaker on the bottom right, and click on Open Volume Control

see if anything is set to mute, or if the slider bars are all the way dow

there are other things you can check in there too, just play around for awile
