Default Win 2000 - Roxio DirectCD Problem

Any ideas appreciated.

I have Roxio Easy Creator/DirectCD Ver 5.3.5.10 working fine on 3 of 4
of my machines running Windows 2000 SP-4. On one machine I continue to
get an error message that says "DirectCD could not find any supported
recordable drives." Strangely, both Roxio's CD Player and Roxio Easy CD
Creator "see" the CD-RW drives fine (as does Windows). And no, it's not
the specific drives...I had this working on the same machine with the
same version of DirectCD (running Windows 98SE yesterday!).

Any ideas/help appreciated. Roxio web site implies this may be a
security or regestery problem, but everything seems to check out ok.
Couldn't find much help using the MS Knowledge Base on this one. If it
helps, this machine I'm having trouble with was recently upgraded from
Windows 98SE.

As a followup, I've just (also)noticed that Studio 8 (Movie Authoring
Software) also does not recognize any writable drives on the machine....
So I'm suspecting more this is a registry or security-related problem...
or perhaps an IDE driver problem on Windows 2000 on this machine (since
all was working fine on Windows 98SE yesterday!)
Any additional ideas would be appreicated for where to look...
