Every time my Windows Server 2003 starts I take a popup with the following
error: Event Type: Information Event Source: Application Popup Event Category: None Event ID: 26 Date: 24/8/2004 Time: 1:24:33 μμ User: N/A Computer: SERVER Description: Application popup: Service Control Manager : At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event log for details. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Obviously there is a delay of 1 to 2 minutes in the booting process because after taking this popup message the system processes the items in the "Startup menu". In the event viewer I examine the system and application logs and no other errors are logged there. I think it isn't a service because all the services that are about to start are started! How can I trace back what driver failed to start ??? Thanks in advance. |

Check Device Manager for errors and or non-starting devices.
