gone from all Microsoft apps including windows, word and
so on. In word the help topics show but you can't click on
any of them. In windows when you click help it does nothing

This apparently happened after a windows update.
To fix the problem, find the Tshoot.inf file which should be in
c:\windows\inf, right click
on it and select Install from the popup list. Have your Win cd on hand.
I'm not sure, but likely this also fixes it...

The above will not work if 824145 security fix has been installed.
