This apparently happened after a windows update.
To fix the problem, find the Tshoot.inf file which should be in c:\windows\inf, right click on it and select Install from the popup list. Have your Win cd on hand. I'm not sure, but likely this also fixes it... http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811630 The above will not work if 824145 security fix has been installed. Read on and if you feel confident then run the fix from this site.
