How do I switch from an open program back to the

Thanks

Two ways:
1) Hotkey combo - Windows key + M
2) At the left side of the task bar, next to the Start button, there's an
icon whose picture makes no sense, but if clicked, will show you the
desktop.

You cannot. You must minimize them,
either by clicking the "Show Desktop" icon
in the Quick Launch bar, or by pressing
the Windows key + the M key.

You can subsequently restore all of the open Windows
by pressing the Windows key + the Shift key + the M key.
