I was pretty sure that was the case, but you specifically stated
that the problem was in WINDOWS Explorer, so I let it ride. I should have confirmed my suspicion. Anyway, have a look at this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 216583 Clicking "Internet Options" on the Tools menu returns error message http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=216583 |

As Alan posted, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet
Explorer\Restrictions Delete the "NoBrowserOptions" value, and reboot. It may exist here instead: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer\Restrictions or HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Policies\Microsoft\In ternet Explorer\Restrictions A simple way to do all this, if you have Windows Scripting host installed, is to go to Doug Knox' site and download his script to fix it: http://www.dougknox.com/security/scr...strictions.htm Right-click his "Download" link, click Save Target As from the menu that appears, and save it in a folder of your choice. Then double-click it to toggle the restrictions on or off. Hope this helps.... -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm |

Yes, I mentioned that it my reply to Elly's first post...this is her second post on
the subject. She never responded to the replies in her first post, nor here either, I see. :-\ -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm |
