Default Win98 and Xp, dual boot

I know that if I desire to set up a dual boot with Win98 and WinXP that I
need to install Win98 first. Does this still apply if I use a third party
partition manager (Partition Magic)? I'm wondering if the method they use to
hide partitions from one another would overcome the problems created when
WinXP is installed first. Thanks.

The reason that W98 needs to be installed first is that it does not include
a boot manager, so the installation just stomps all over the XP boot
manager. If you are installing a third party boot manager then this problem
simply does not exist, as it knows that the whole purpose of the
installation is to give you access to different operating systems
