The directory \windows\sysbckup contains files called rb00x.cab which
are backups of the registry you apparently zapped.

You can select one of these registries to re-load by replacing the
files from your backup, booting to dos and typing
scanreg /restore

However, doing this might resurrect the problem you initially zapped
win98 for.

At least you can have a look in the device manager and take note of
the hardware you have so you can download the appropriate drivers.
