Default Removing Win95 and installing 98


I have an older PC that is running windows 95 and I would
like to upgrade to 98. I have the full verions of 98 so, I
can't just upgrade from 95. I would like to know how to
uninstall windows 95 and install 98. Thanx.

A full retail version of W98 will upgrade or install clean. An OEM
version of W98 may be able to be tricked into upgrading. If you would
like to try this, see: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/upgrade.html

With that said, I always do a "clean" installation (even though it is a
lot more work) rather than upgrading because I believe it gives better
performance. To do this, back up anything that you need and then format
the C: partition. For information on installing W98, go to:
